A n idea which came from two local women to provide local residents with somewhere to go during the day for a coffee and a chat is starting to become a reality. The original idea of providing a focal meeting place promoting healthy eating and low priced Internet access for people who live in the St Davids, Kingsthorpe and Boughton Green area has led to the birth of a major community run project which has been called the Chill Out Centre. The Chill Out Centre intends to provide the community with the ability to access the Internet, enjoy a cup of coffee, and share Internet experiences in a comfortable environment. People of all ages and backgrounds will come to enjoy the unique, upscale, educational, and innovative environment that the Chill Out Centre will provide. We also aim to provide local people with links to the information and help they require when hitting problems within their life by forging links with as many agencies and support groups as we can to give the residents a local hub offering links to important information. |

The Chill Out Centre will be looking to open its doors later this year. This is set to be a community project, run by the community, for the community. The Centre will be staffed by volunteers, looking to put something back into the community. CafeIn the cafe you will be able to grab a steaming hot cup of quality coffee or tea and relax in comfortable surroundings and chat with your friends. For those wanting something to eat, we will be offering a selection of healthy salads, sandwiches and rolls, jacket potatoes with a selection of fillings and a mouthwatering selection of cakes and pastries.
InternetYou will be able to browse the Internet on one of our fast computers, talk to relatives around the world and for those wishing to find out more about the Internet and computing in general, there will be help on hand.
SupportWorking alongside a number of local agencies and support groups, we aim to provide you with a local hub where you can get information on the resources available within the town when you meet a problem. Join one of the weekly or monthly surgeries that will be held by these support groups on our premises.
KidsFor the kids, we are aiming to provide a number of activities, pool tables, games consoles, and much more. We are going to be setting up an area known as the snug where the kids will be able to have their say about the way the area is furnished and which activities go on there
